For the past twenty years, Ms. Tooch has motivated and inspired thousands of St. Lucie County residents with her desire to help people reap the rewards of good health. Cherished by a true following, it is nearly impossible to find room for a workout in any of the classes she teaches at Gold’s Gym. As the Group Fitness Director for the past 8 years, she has single-handedly changed the lives and health status of people that report dedicating their personal success to Ms.Tooch. She has successfully organized classes for specific populations that are in dire need. Most recently she has been working with young disabled military person and helping to re-familiarize him with the strength inside of his body. In a society, when these brave individuals are rarely thanked or assisted, Ms.Tooch helps them to get stronger every time they participate in her workshops.
Coupled with Ms. Tooch’s wide base of health expertise, is her desire to create programs that are full family focused. Much of her time is devoted to partnering with her talented 8 year old son that guides her understanding of how children learn to make healthy food choices. They work together in the kitchen to develop new and creative ways for kids to love healthy food and then share them through the Brain Food Coach program. A new phenomenon that has occurred through the Brain Food Coach Facebook page, is that kids all over are posting pictures of the healthy food that they are concocting. There is a multitude of research that directs the correlation between success and connecting children to caring adults. Bringing children and adults together around healthy lifestyle is a focus of the Brain Food Coach program and when followed with fidelity is guaranteed to work. Envisioning a life in which children’s bodies have the proper nutrition to fuel their brains into increased learning and focus is the main purpose of the Brain Food Coach program. It is that simple!
